“Alabela”
Georgian Marani is a “house of wine” that has had both economic and ritual significance for centuries. “Alabela” is a family cellar, which immediate surroundings represent vineyards comprising 20 different varieties of naturally cultivated wines. Following ancient wine-making tradition of Georgia the wine is made in Kvevri (Clay pot). All these processes are done manually without using the modern technologies. It is noteworthy that only natural fertilizers are used during the agro-processes, the fluid experiences long-term natural filtration which ultimately results in the best aroma and taste of wine. The family has 120 years of tradition in making craft wine, chacha (grape vodka) and liqueur.
